The mission of Mwanza Press Club (MPC) is to promote and enhance ethical reporting by its members by building their capacities so that they can discharge their duties ethically, effectively and efficiently with the aim of contributing to the just and democratic society.
OBJECTIVES:
a) To enhance efficiency in information communication for the benefit of the members of the public.
b) To afford members the means of social interaction.
c) To raise professional standards in the field of journalism in Mwanza region and Tanzania as a whole, by seeking and organizing training opportunities among its members.
d) To improve the quality of news collection and dissemination (among Tanzania journalists).
e) To facilitate cooperation among journalists, news sources and professional organizations.
f) To facilitate sharing of available resources amongst its members.
g) To protect its members from unjustified hindrance of their normal journalistic conduct.
