FOREWORD FROM SECRETARY GENERAL

VEFDA (T) - Victoria Environmental and Fishery Development Association - Tanzania was formed in July 2000 by a merge of 16 groups in the regions of Mwanza, Kagera and Mara. The registrar of Societies in ministry of Home Affairs awarded registration of the organization SO. 10824 in February 2001. Since then, VEFDA (T) has developed a Strategic Plan 2002 - 2012 that covers the organization-prioritized activities on short term and long-term basis.

VEFDA (T) emerges from an infant civil society to a promising institution that can bring sustainable development to people and promote to conserve the ecology in collaboration with other partners locally and internationally. VEFDA (T) management committee has also CONT... >>>

VEFDA-T has committed itself to support strategies that aim to strengthen local communities of practice on ICT enabled development issues.

These communities serve as platform where people come together to exchange knowledge and experiences: Here lessons are being documented and disseminated.

Through this due; VEFDA-T has developed various knowledge sharing and communication tools called-

BULDING BLOCKS and thus are: FACE-TO-FACE (f2f) MEETING: Where by people physically meet and discuss various development issues and CONTENT DEVELOPMENT-by;
